01 · Web Design Canberra

A website built to be found, and to turn the visit into an enquiry

I design and build websites for Canberra businesses, one person start to finish. Every one is structured so Google and AI assistants read it properly, measured rather than guessed, and pointed at the same thing: the enquiry landing in your phone.

Message me first. It's free to ask.

02 · Point At The One That's Yours

Whichever one of these is your website right now

If yours is not here, ask anyway. Send me the address and I will tell you what I see, the way a customer would, for nothing.

There is no website, just the Google listing

A listing with nowhere to go sends people to whoever does have a site. One page for every service that matters, written around the words people type.

It looks fine on the laptop and broken on a phone

Most of your customers will only ever see it on a phone. Rebuilt to be read there first, without losing the pages and the rankings you already have.

It takes forever to load

Slow sites lose people before the first word. Built without a page builder or plugins, measured at 100 for performance on mobile, and kept there.

Enquiries do not arrive, or arrive and get lost

A form that lands in your phone within seconds, replies to the customer on its own, and keeps asking you about the ones you have not answered.

One page that tries to say everything

Every service on one page means ranking for none of them. Split into the pages people actually search for, each one doing one job.

Stock photos of somebody else's work

Nobody hires a tradie off a stock photo. Your finished jobs, your van, your people, with proof and credentials where they can be seen.

The certificate expired and the browser says it is not secure

Hosting, certificate, domain and backups set up once and looked after, so a warning page never greets a customer again.

A site that never mentions where you work

Canberra, the suburbs you actually serve, and your Google profile connected to it, so the site carries the local signal instead of fighting it.

03 · Sites I've Built

Three sites, each one doing its job

BRT Building, Canberra. Outdoor structures and renovations. The site puts Ben and Ryan's finished work and credentials in front of whoever is deciding who to call, and every page ends at the quote request.

Rowa Café, Canberra. The website plus a QR code on the counter that signs customers up to the cafe's offers by text, so the site grows the list rather than just describing the menu.

Saxon Lawn Care, Melbourne's inner north. Garden design, construction and care, built from their own job photos, with every page pointed at the quote request landing in Saxon's phone.

All three measured 100 for performance, accessibility, best practices and SEO on mobile in July 2026. The scores are the build standard, not the product. The product is the enquiry. The three sites, the numbers and the links to check them yourself are on the home page.

In Chetan's words, from Rowa Café: “Oscar has played a major role in building and managing our website, ensuring it not only looks professional and modern but also performs effectively for customer engagement and lead generation. Since working with him, we have noticed a major positive impact on our business exposure and customer engagement.”

04 · How It Works

Built around how the enquiry actually happens.

Before any design, I work out where your customers come from, what they type, and what has to be true on the page for them to pick up the phone. The site is built backwards from that, not forwards from a template.

It's free to ask and nothing is owed either way. Send me your current site, or tell me you have none, and you get an honest read on what it needs before anyone talks about building.

Step 01

Tell me what the business does

What you sell, who buys it, which suburbs, and where the good jobs come from now. A conversation, not a questionnaire.

Step 02

I draw the sitemap and the words

One page per service that matters, written around the words people actually type, with your real photos, your real reviews and your credentials where they count.

Step 03

I build it, and measure it

Written directly, no page builder, no plugins. Tested on a phone first, measured against Google's own tool, and fixed until it measures right.

Step 04

It goes live, pointed at your phone

Enquiries land in your phone in seconds. Hosting, certificate, domain and backups handled, and the site connected to your Google profile so the two work together.

05 · Who Turns Up
Oscar Chapman, who does the work himself
FIG. 1 · me. Nobody else is coming.

One person, and it is this one.

There is no call centre, no ticket queue and no subcontractor. You message me, I answer, and I do the work.

  • I design it and I build it. No template bought and filled in, no designer handing off to a developer, no agency account manager.
  • I tell you what it will cost after I understand what it has to do. Priced after a chat rather than off a menu, because a site for a sole trader and a site for a twelve-person firm are different jobs.
  • I measure instead of promising. Nobody can honestly promise a Google position. I build for it, then check suburb by suburb where it landed, and you decide the next move on numbers.
  • I stay on it if you want me to. Updates, backups and the small changes as they come up, so the site stays current instead of quietly rotting.
06 · Straight Answers

What I will tell you not to buy

If the site you have is sound underneath and the problem is three pages and a broken form, I will say so and fix those rather than sell you a rebuild. If you are a one-person business with a strong Google profile and plenty of work, a website may genuinely not be the next thing worth your money, and I would rather tell you that and fix your printer.

I do not sell hosting packages, SEO packages or monthly reports with a score out of 100 on them. A site is either getting found and turning visits into enquiries or it is not, and both of those are things you can see for yourself in your phone.

07 · Found By Google, And By AI

Structured for the way people search now

More people ask an AI assistant which plumber to call than did a year ago, and the assistant reads the website the same way Google does: the structure, the stated services, the suburbs, the proof. Every site I build carries that structure from the start rather than bolted on afterwards, and it is the same structure that holds the SEO score at 100.

The website is half of being found locally. The other half is the Google Business Profile, and I handle that too: Google Business Profile and local SEO in Canberra.

08 · Where I Work

Canberra first, and the rest of the country from my desk

I am in Higgins and most of my clients are around Canberra, where I can come and sit in your office, photograph the work, and see the business I am building for. Saxon's is in Melbourne and was built entirely remotely from their own photos, so distance is not the deciding thing. Knowing the business is.

09 · Text Me

Send me your website, or tell me you have none.

A text is the fastest way to reach me. The business name and what you do is enough to start. I'm back to you within a day, usually much faster, with an honest read on what the site needs and what it would take.
